The Foward Controls Have Arrived!
If you hang around the Strictly ACE 750 forum, then you know exactly what these puppies are about.
For those of you who dont, A fella by name of Bill (45ACE) has manufactured inexpensive foward controls for the ACE 750 and decided to share them with fellow ACE riders.
One of the attractive features of these controls are thier price. They cost $100.00 plus $10.50 S & H. This is extremely reasonable when you compare that to other foward controls which run anywhere from $300.00 on up to over $600.00.

Here is a rundown of some other manufacturers:
Jardine: Forward Controls - 750 ACE - MSRP: $613.00
Restyling: Forward Controls - 750 ACE - MSRP: $298.90
Rizoma: Forward Controls Kit - 750 ACE - MSRP: $570.00
All prices quoted from Cruisercustomizing.com.
Another thing that is cool about Bill's controls is that they use the stock foot pegs and hardware. Alot of guys change them, but I personally like the stock ones.
I think I have made my case about what initially drew me to this product, so with all that said, lets see some pictures!
Here are the controls in thier stock state.
The fowards have arrived!!!
As you can see, the fowards are unpainted aluminum. I intend on painting them. I just could wait to get them on and see how they feel. I will in the near future paint them black to match the frame, but for this article they will be in thier naked state.
A few pics of the installation process.
This image shows the left side done and the right side in the stock position. It is foward about 8 inches!
Here they are. What a difference!
Many folks in the forum ask about pipe compatabilities. I have Cobra Hi-Boys and there was no problem at all :)
Well I finished! The hardest part was getting the cotter pin out of the brake linkage. They were very easy to install and took about 1.5 hours total.
I started after work so by the time I finished it was late and I didnt have the heart to wake my neighbors up to go on a test drive. I would have to wait until the next day :(
The Test Drive!
These things are awesome! The ride was so much more comfortable. Although my test drive was a 10 mile trip around town, I can tell these will make those long ride much more comfortable. Its hard for me to beleive such an awesome modification was so cheap! I will post more pictures once they are painted.
