I had a feeling it would need to some tweaking to get it mounted on the ACE.
As you can see from the following picture, the mounting holes do not line up. The frame cannot be raised any higher than it is in the picture.
The solution as I saw it was to simply make some brackets to accomidate the frame. I used 1/8" aluminum bar and cut 2 pieces 4.25" long.
Next I taped the 2 pieces together and drilled the holes.
Check the holes to make sure they line up with the frame mounting holes.
The 2 brackets are still taped together and loosely screwed on the frame so as to get the position of the final mounting hole.

OK, all set to mount the frame. Notice the stainless steel bolts. They are sandwiched behind the aluminum bar.
And here it is mounted. Sure seems like alot of work to mount a license plate frame!
